And the best of the ideas are a result of sheer interest and enormous desire to do something revolutionary in the particular subject of work. Such is the story of Shahir Muneer, an experienced professional who has worked with leading companies like HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services - Media and entertainment division. During his stints, Shahir carried out various projects that were specifically done in the online video space. What caught his attention this time was that though the online video space was gaining momentum yet there were a lot of content producers and content/music right holders who were not able to understand or had a team to foray into the particular segment. With vast expertise and knowledge, he decided to take the plunge into the entrepreneurial sea and help them out. Thus, a new startup was born named Divo TV; one of India’s first digital media focused companies.

Explicating on the journey, Shahir, says,“Divo is purely an outcome of a business idea and model
that emerged out with the aim to disrupt the digital ecosystem. Our first project was with Sun Network, one of the largest media companies in the South India region. Through our networking skills and well-defined strategies, we assisted them to venture into the digital platform and YouTube network. This recorded our success.”

Multi-Platforms& a Unique Business Model
Launched in the year 2013, Divo TV as an online video company, over the years, has grown to be a leading digital media and music distribution company. As one of the leading YouTube and Multi-Platform Networks in India, it works with content creators across film production houses, TV channels, musicians, independent artists and new media creators of various genres. Currently, Divo caters its services across three varied segments viz – Online Video, Music Distribution and Digital Marketing. Other than this,the company provides end-to-end digital marketing solutions for multiple brands, celebrities, and movies. Some of the key offerings include Online Advertising Management, Online Reputation Management, Social Media Management and others. Recently, the company has released the audio songs of upcoming Bollywood movie Robot 2.0 starring Superstar Rajni and Akshay Kumar in varied regional languages.

Chennai headquartered Divo TV with an office in Malaysia has partnered with various live streaming apps in music and videos such as Gaana.com, Spotify, YouTube, Hungama.com and others. The company is also working with a couple of large Bombay based Bollywood studios and digital production houses as a partner for their South market. Currently,with 15 million+ subscribers, Divo has garnered over two billion views and has grown 75 per cent YoY.
